Geauga prosecutor filed lawsuit

Geauga County Prosecutor James R. Flaiz filed a lawsuit on behalf of Bainbridge Township Board of Trustees v. Bainbridge Township Fire Company, Inc. The statement “Defendant Fire Co. has been unjustly enriched by keeping the funds and personal property,” from the suit, should have been attributed to him.

When originally published Trial set in Bainbridge Township Fire Co. dispute, did not list the correct filer of the suit and attributed statements from the suit to an incorrect party.

Incorrect title and year of retirement listed

Arthur Holan, who retired in 1993, was not the chief of the Mentor Fire Department.

Tiny cardiac monitor - so small it's injected - does detective work for heart rhythms orginally contained an incorrect title and year for his retirement.

Madison meeting notice published

When originally published, Madison Village administrator hiring on hold indicated notice of the special meeting had not been published in The News-Herald's agenda listings.

The village had placed a paid ad in the March 21 edition of the newspaper.

The issue of notification was raised at the meeting.

Pay-to-participate proposal clarified

The Chardon Schools proposed pay-to-participate structure for 2014-15, based on a flat fee with a multi-sport and middle school discount is as follows:
* High School sport — $350 for first sport, $250 for second sport, $100 for third sport.
* Middle School sport — $275 for first sport, $175 for second sport, $100 for third sport.

The fees were originally listed simply as a range in Chardon Schools levy spurs proposed program restorations.

“To pass this will only encourage more illegal aliens to come to Painesville.”
